Martha Wellborn

CHICKAMAUGA - Martha Ann Wallace Wellborn, age 83, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. She was born to the late Paul and Gertrude Barton Wallace in Chickamauga, was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was a member of Rock Spring United Methodist Church. Martha was a former employee of Roxbury Southern Mill and Datel Communication and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt who will be greatly missed. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Glenn “Bob” Wellborn; sister, Betty Sue Ray; and brothers, Charles Allan Wallace and Curtis Eugene Wallace. Martha is survived by her loving daughter, Tracey (Simon) Strickland; granddaughters, Maegan (Jesse) Mullinax, Lindzie (Jeremy) Abner and Jessica (Jason) Dooley; great grandchildren, Teddy and Opal; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 11, 2020 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the funeral time on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Rock Spring United Methodist Church.
