Wanda S. Penner

Wanda S. Cooke Penner, 86, of Ooltewah went home to be with the Lord, Monday,

June 1, 2020.

A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Mrs. Penner retired from AT & T after 32 years of service. After retirement she worked for AMG International for 10 years.

She was a faithful member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Harvest Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oval Edgar and Alpha Shoopman; and her step-son, Eddie Cooke.

Wanda will be remember as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors are her husband, Allen E. Penner; two sons, Tim (Rita) Cooke and Kelly (Diana) Cooke; four step-sons, Keith (Judy Harris) Penner, Roger (Debbie) Penner, Russell (Cheryl) Penner, and Bruce (Rhonda) Penner; two sisters, Jean Ray and Phyllis Coffey; fifteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 3rd at 10 am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Plumlee officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home or to Ridgedale Baptist Church.
