Melissa Smith

SOUTH PITTSBURG - As the angels sang, the Lord took the hand of Melissa LeeAnn Smith, at the age of 54, to lead her to her heavenly home. LeeAnn was born in Fort Payne, AL on September 25, 1965. She was a resident of South Pittsburg, TN and was of the Baptist faith. LeeAnn was a devoted wife, loving and caring mother, special daughter and an amazing friend to those she loved. Her fondness was loving and taking care of her dogs and flowers.

LeeAnn is preceded in death by her sister, Snookie Melinda Brock; grandparents, Richard Bomar and Minnie Lee Williams and father in law, James C. Smith, Sr.

She leaves her memories with her husband, James C. Smith, Jr.; mother, Bettye Sanders; son, Christopher (Taylor) Smith; daughter, Brittany (Brad) Roberts; mother in law, Charlotte Ann Smith; nieces, Brandi Patel and Heather Chambers; nephew, Mack Johnson along with a host of family and friends.

The family will have a private visitation on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

A private “Memorial Service” will be held following the visitation in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Bowman officiating.

LeeAnn will be laid to rest at a later date in a private ceremony with her family.
