Charlotte Andrews

Charlotte Rogers “Shocky” Andrews, 96 of East Ridge, TN went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Charlotte was born in Winchester, TN. She was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church and had been a substitute teacher in East Ridge Schools. Charlotte was a graduate of City High School class of 1941.

She was an avid doll collector and a supporter of the Community Kitchen.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Andrews; a daughter, Debra Doster-Grigsby; two brothers, Richard M. Rogers and Darwin L. Rogers; one sister, Mary B. Mims.

Survivors include her son Herbert L. “Andy” Andrews, II and his wife, Nancy; five grandchildren, Herbert L. “Drew” Andrews, III, Whitney Blair Andrews, L. Stephen Doster, III, Mason Ray and Morgan Doster; 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her caregiver, Debbie Anderson, the angels of Hospice of Chattanooga and Tyler Hynes of the Hallmark Channel for their loving care and concern.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Bond officiating. Due to the national health crisis there will be no visitation.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Community Kitchen 727 E. 11th Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37403.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
