Barbara Hyde

Barbara Hyde, 86 of Chattanooga passed away Monday, November 23, 2020.

She retired from WDEF-Radio as Sale Manager in 1988 and pressured a career in Real Estate. Barbara had a dynamitic outgoing personality, sense of humor, quick wit and she never met a stranger or never left a room without knowing everyone. She liked living on the River, gardening, outdoors and cooking fresh vegetables from her garden, enjoyed entertaining with family and friends. If you knew Barbara, you knew she was a sincere straightforward person. She was always planning a special vacation traveling with her husband to other countries. Barbara cherished her family and will be greatly missed.

Barbara is preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Gault Morgan.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Ray Hyde of 56 years, son. Mark Gault, Chattanooga; daughters, Janet Gault Nelson of Atlanta and Keely Gault Murphy of Clear Water, Florida; four grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at lane-shothcrestchapel.com.

Due to the pandemic, there will be a private service at a later date.
