John Whittemore

John Franklin Whittemore, 72, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020. A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, he was owner/operator of Whittemore Construction for over 50 years and was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Felton and Lula Bell Collins Whittemore and twelve siblings. John is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce Langston Whittemore of Ringgold, GA.; three children, Cindy Whittemore McNeese of Ringgold, GA., Ricky Lee Whittemore of Ringgold, GA., and Stephanie Lynn (Clint) Holloway-Wallace of Ringgold, GA.; sister, Velma Alton of Ringgold, GA.; brother, Edward Whittemore, Sr., of Ellijay, GA.; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chris Massengill and Bryan Grillone officiating. The family will receive friends 4-8 P.M. and 9 A.M. until funeral time Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, Georgia.
