Sarah Pynes

Sarah Juanita Stoker Pynes age 82, passed away on Tuesday – November 24, 2020. She was born in the Cassandra community to the late Vernon and Mildred Parm Holmes Stoker. She has resided in Walker County for the past thirty-five years and was a former employee of E.T. Barwick Mills. She was a former resident of Florida, Oregon and Idaho where she worked at lumber yards and mills. She was of the Baptist faith and formerly attended Cassandra Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, dancing and all kinds of music. She also enjoyed taking in animals to help them survive, such as an opossum, squirrel and puppies. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Sam Gentry, Charles Pynes, brothers: Ronnie Stoker and Allen Stoker, grandchildren: Sarah Gentry, Missy Davenport and Bobby Gentry. She is survived by her children: Earlene (Gerald) Beaty of Jennings, FL, Sam Gentry, Jr., of Warnick, GA, Vernon (Teresa) Gentry of East Ridge, TN, Teresa (John) Redman of LaFayette, GA, Pearl (Kevin) Shelton of Trenton, GA, brothers: Jerry Stoker of Kensington, GA, Wayne Stoker, Doug Stoker both of LaFayette, GA, Robin Stoker, Dennis Stoker and Gary Stoker all of Kensington, GA, twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday from until 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm – Friday – November 27, 2020 in the chapel with Pastor: Doug Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Coulter Cemetery – Kensington, Georgia.
