Greggory Stutz

Greggory Lee Stutz, age 63 passed away on October 4, 2020 at his home after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was a wonderful husband, proud father and fun uncle. He was a Sheet Metal Worker for 45 years, retiring from Valley Mechanical after 34 years. He attended Bayside Baptist Church.

Greg was an avid drag racer and hunter. He was the owner of Stutz Racing and raced his Chevy II for many years at Brainerd Dragstrip. He was the crew chief for his son’s Daniel and Travis Junior Dragsters leading them to numerous championships all over the south. He turned his Chevy II over to Daniel where he was a proud father and crew chief. Greg was a long time member of a Jasper Mountain Hunting Club and enjoyed teaching Travis hunting skills and seeing all of his accomplishments and trophies. He also loved the beach, cruising and all vacations.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents John and Ruby Stutz, brother John Stutz, Jr., in Laws Charles and Louise Jeffery, nephews Brad Stutz and Chad Jeffery.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Charline; sons, Daniel and Travis Stutz; brothers, Charles (Connie) Stutz and David Stutz; sister in law, Rose Stutz; brother in law, Chuck (Tammie) Jeffery; nieces, Brenda Stutz, LaShawn Stutz and Tabitha (Austin) Ellis; nephews, Chad (Erika) Stutz, David Stutz II, Chase Jeffery and Tracy (Candy) Smith; several great nieces and nephews; and childhood best friend, Wayne Stover.

Visitation will be Thursday October 8th from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of a funeral service, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
