Roger Hester

RINGGOLD — Roger Dale Hester, 74, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020. A native of Walker County, Ala., he has lived in

the Ringgold area most of his life. He was a former employee of Adtran where he worked for 10 years and was a member of Ringgold First Baptist Church.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Louise Childers Hester; parents, Elmer Solomon and Mary Jane Akins Hester; sister, Jo Helen Roberts and two brothers, Jerry Hester and Doug Hester.

He is survived by his daughter, Beth (Justin) Long of

Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Long; many loved family members.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m.

Monday, Oct. 26, 2020 at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Pastor Eric Kennedy officiating. The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m.

Sunday at the funeral home.
