Blanche Pilcher
Blanche McClure Pilcher, 103, of Chattanooga passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2020.
A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Mrs. Pilcher retired from S&H Green Stamps and was a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church.
She was the first New Year’s baby born in Chattanooga on January 1, 1917.
Mrs. Pilcher was preceded in death by her first husband, James F. McClure; second husband, James Pilcher; and her daughter, Joella M. Craig.
She is survived by her son, Frank (Eunice) McClure; Rossville, GA; three
grandchildren, Kim McGibony, Smyrna, GA; Terri Ellis, Ooltewah; and Ricky (Dedra)
McGibony, Ringgold, GA; two great-grandchildren, Michael (Carrie) Ellis, Ooltewah;
Brittani (Clayton) Norton, Ringgold; two great-great-grandchildren, Austin Ellis,
Ooltewah; and Braelynn Norton, Ringgold.
Services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with
Rev. Bill Spencer officiating. A private burial will be held at Hamilton Memorial
Gardens.
The family will like to express their appreciation to Kindred Hospice, Garden Plaza @
Greenbriar Cove, and Josephine @ Senior Saints for their love and care.
