Claudine Sharp

ROSSVILLE - Claudine H. Sharp, 104, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 8th, 2021 in her home.

Claudine was born in Rome, GA and attended school in Dalton, GA. She began working at American Thread Co. at a very young age to help support her family. She was a hard working woman who kept her home running smoothly. Claudine survived the Great Depression and not one but two global pandemics. She was devoted to her family and affectionately known as Grandma by many. Claudine and her husband were founding members of Victory Baptist Church in Rossville, GA and were dedicated to their church family. Faith in the Lord was very important to Claudine and she instilled this faith in her family. She will always be remembered for her servant’s heart, kind spirit, and sweet disposition. Claudine is very much loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Claudine was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Sharp; parents, Luther and Lora Henderson; granddaughter, Tammy Abbott; one infant child and one sister.

Survivors include her children: Barbara (Lowell) Jones, Marshall Sharp, and Linda (Joe) Beers; eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 at 11am in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Ernest Groce officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. Condolences may be shared at lane-southcrestchapel.com

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 from 5:30pm-7pm in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville.
