Aline Payne

Aline Opal Payne, 91, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021. She attended Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle. Aline retired from the

Hamilton County Department of Education where she worked many years at

Daisy Elementary in the cafeteria and child-care. She loved cooking, gardening and watching birds.

Aline was preceded in death by her parents,

Sam and Violet Carden; husband, Jack Payne, Sr. and brother, James

“Moon” Carden.

Survivors are her children, Linda Walden (Jim) and Jack Payne, Jr. (Sheila);

granddaughter, Kimberly Burris; great granddaughter, Zoe Burris and special nephew, Jimmy “Moon” Carden.

Services will be on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.
