She was an awarded employee in Hamilton County government where she retired as Director of Courts and Civil Process for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department. Carolyn was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church and served in various volunteer capacities throughout her time as an active member. She was an animal lover, an avid gardener, and enjoyed many adventures during the past 20 years of retirement with her best friend and companion David - golfing, fishing, and actively traveling across the South and beyond.

Due to COVID restrictions the immediate family will hold a graveside service February 24, 2021 where Carolyn will be interred at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. A memorial service celebrating her life will be planned for friends and family at a later date. In lieu of flowers David asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Foundation, The American Cancer Society, or the Humane Education Society of Chattanooga.
