Leland David Tucker, age 70, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in a local hospital He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Elmer and Lula Mae Pack Tucker. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for twenty-one years and regired as Chief Petty Officer. While serving he earned nuerous medals, awards, and commendations. He served in the Vietnam War and Gulf War. After retiring, he worked with his brothers as a painter - Tucker's Painting Company. He was of the Episcopal faith. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters: Betty Thommason, Dorothy Thommason, Sue Brodeax; brothes: Benny Tucker, Burl Tucker; and his grandson: Dakota Ragsdale. He is survived by his Linda Gay Muse Tucker, of LaFayette, Ga.; step-sons: Brian Ragsdale, of Oolteah, Tenn., Rocky Ragsdale, of LaFayette, Ga.; sisters: Pat Morris, Carolyn Trundle, both of Chattanooga; brother: Dewey Tucker, of Chattanooga; brother-in-law: Danny (Leann) Muse of Summerville, Ga.; grandchildren: Kaila Baggett, Owen Ragsdale; great-grandchild: Erin Baggett; several nieces and nephews. funeral services will be held graveside at Chattanooga National Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
