Thomas Amos

Tommy Amos, 75, of East Ridge, passed away on July 20, 2021. Tommy was born in Lenoir City in 1946. He graduated from Lenoir City High School. Upon graduation he left to serve his country in the United States Air Force and served as an Aircraft Mechanic. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his service ended he joined and was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union where he worked for over 40 years.

Tommy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Sue Amos, parents, Fred and Bessie Amos, Tommy’s siblings, Fred Amos, Jr., Margaret Pickell, and Charlie Amos.

Whether it was camping with brothers or visiting with kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids he was happiest spending time with his family and always said “We are so Blessed”.

Left with so many memories are his children, Tami (David) Lehman, Rusty (Robin Quijano) Amos, grandchildren, Cortney (Adam) Swann, Ashley (Milan) Mullins, Carson and Graci Lehman, great-grandchildren, Christian; Lexi; Lola; Kyson; Myah; and Nora, sister, Janie (Arthur) Hyde, brother, Larry (Linda) Amos, sisters in-law, Pat and Ruth Amos, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

Visitation will be held at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday July 24, 2021. Additional visitation and funeral services will be held in Lenoir City at Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City, TN, 37771. He will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery alongside his wife, Sue.

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
