Edna Jeanette Bodine Holdren, 83, passed away from COVID-19, on June 2, 2020. She was welcomed home into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Harriman, Tennessee to Arthur and Maude Bodine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar.

She is survived by her five children, Suzanne (Roger), Patricia, Kim (Kris), Rick (Jennifer), and David (Melissa); grandchildren, Kristin, Sarah (Robbie), Patrick (Kazia), Brittany (Kyle), Matthew, Houston, Abby and Emma; and seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Aaron, Attie, Hudson, Matthew, Briella and Harrison.

Being together with family brought her so much joy. She loved playing cards (Liverpool and Uno) and would have excelled if given the opportunity to be featured on Family Feud. She showed her love through food and sharing with others. Her éclair cake is sorely missed, as is her sausage gravy and peanut butter fudge. She also would have given something a little sweet to share with a cup of coffee. How blessed we were to have had such a Godly, wonderful and loving Mother, Mamaw and Momaw.

She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ and everything she did was in service to the Lord. As an early childhood educator, she selflessly gave her all for 50+ years and molded thousands of young minds. She ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy and happy and imparted on them the importance of being good and doing good works in service to others.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the entire staff at Memorial Hospital who cared for her when we could not physically be there. The nurses at Memorial lovingly cared for her and assisted with countless facetime requests, even sending us videos unprompted. We will forever treasure those and thank you does not seem enough for all they did.

A private celebration of life will be held on June 12, 2021. Interment will be at Luminary Cemetery, Ten Mile, TN.
