ROSSVILLE - Shirley Bryson Gilreath, age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and a member of Temple Baptist church in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Mrs. Shirley also taught Sunday School and retired from R.L. Stowe as an instructor in 2001. She was a very hard worker, loved caring for others and would give anyone in need her last dime. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Estell Evans; two sisters; three brothers, and grandson, Jonathan Bahney. Survivors include her husband, Archie Gilreath; daughters, Doris (Ricky) Webb, Connie (Tim) Brown, Kay Bahney; sister, JoAnn Traylor; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, as well as several close friends and family. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Bob McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee ~ Georgia Memorial Park.
