Raven Ariel Brown, 27, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 in a motor vehicle accident in Georgia. She attended Ooltewah High School and was a 2012 graduate of Hatboro-Horsham Senior High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University. Raven was a member of New Monumental Baptist Church where she was part of the Youth Department and Youth Choir. She was preceded in death by her father, Alexander Brown, Jr., grandparents, Mumzell Pope Dockery and Fred Wellington. Survivors include her mother, Nineveh Wellington of Lawrenceville, GA; grandparents, Edna Wellington of Chattanooga and Alexander Brown, Sr of Phoenix, AZ; godbrother, Cameron Montgomery of Chattanooga; godsisters, Taylor Mathis of Memphis, TN and Amber Mathis of Chattanooga; a host of other relatives and friends. She will lie-in-state on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Ridgedale Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Corey Prather the eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
