TUNNEL HILL - Alton Shires, age 83, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Hamilton Medical Center.

He is preceded by his mother and father. He was a member of Fairview Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Shires; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Ron Clark of Rossville, stepdaughter and husband, Ginny and Reece Horne of Tunnel Hill; stepson and wife, Jimmy and Marie Bible of Ringgold; sister, Faye Gervais of Rossville; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Nancy Shires of Rainsville, AL; grandchildren, Amanda (John) Robinson, Scott (Tina) Harris, Kristi (Johnny) Clinton, Jennifer (Terry) McGaughey, Whitney (Jeremey) Goble, Dedra (Dana) Bridges, Cody (Maribella) Bible; great grandchildren, Julie, Jake, Chelsa, David, Lexie and Lanie, Hallie and Warren, Alana, Austin, Haylee, Lauren, Jacob, Brent, Mikayla, Santiago, Hannah; nieces and nephews, Lauren, Savannah, Gracie, Lucas, Gayla, Steve, and Darrell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
