Melony McGinnis

DECATUR - Melony Lynne Satterwhite McGinnis, 55, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021.

Melony was a sweet, gentle soul, so humble and kind. She is now in heaven holding Easton and dancing with Misty. She was special and so loved and will be missed.

Preceded in death by; daughter, Misty Delove Bennett, grandson, Easton Childs, grandparents, Charles Glenn Goins and Lois (Brock) Smith and William Thomas and Irene Laney Satterwhite.

Survivors include her parents, James and Margaret Satterwhite, daughter, Chasity (Jeremy) Marshall, son, Dakota (Damoris) McGinnis, grandchildren, Kari Williams, Titan Childs, Madelyn McGinnis, Mia Childs, Kamryn Marshall and Rylan Marshall, brothers, James (Beverly) Satterwhite, Jr. and Steven (Greta) Satterwhite, sisters, Starla (Randy) Ryan, Dawn (Chris) Morrow, Christy (Bobby) Webb and Sierra Satterwhite, special friend, Lyonell Elsea, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Redden officiating. Burial will follow in Penny Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 3 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Covid-19 mandates require social distancing to be observed and masks be worn during all services.
