Charles Breedlove

Charles “Larry” Breedlove was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Larry was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to John and Maude Breedlove and left this world in Port Orange, Florida on May 5, 2021, at the age of 75. He was a devoted family man and treasured each moment with them. He found the greatest joy in the simplest pleasure’s life brought. He loved spending early mornings sitting on his porch listening to the birds and watching the sunrise. He worked his entire life in the air conditioning business, but he also was an amazing craftsman that could fix almost anything. He took pride in his work and often spent his weekends helping friends and family with home projects. His favorite pastimes were working in his garden, watching old westerns, and trying his luck at the lotto. Trips to Las Vegas and time spent fishing were always a favorite highlight. He had a warm, welcoming, no-nonsense personality and bright smile that will be missed forever. Family gatherings without him at the grill will never be the same. Larry was preceded in death by his son Charles Larry, Jr, brothers Johnny, Jimmy, and Donald, sisters ValJean and Patsy, and grandsons Austin and Sam. He is survived by his wife Tina, his five children Terri Suydam and her husband Derrick, Traci Hanley and her husband Bryan, Adoree Bayer and her husband Brian, Adam Zeis, and Charleen Strickland and her husband Scott, five grandchildren Brooke, Travis, Victoria and her husband Mike, Taylor and Evan, two great-grandchildren Reign and Oakley, two brothers Robert and his wife Wanda, and Freddie, sister-in-law Cindy, three brothers-in-law Dennis, Tim, and Ed, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone whose lives he touched. His family would like to invite friends to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat starting at 5:30 with services beginning at 6:30.
