Nellie Parrish

CHICKAMAUGA — Nellie C. Broome Parrish, 96, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 14, 2021. She

was born to the late James Price and Carrie Lee Fisher Broome in Chickamauga, was a lifelong resident of the Chickamauga Area and was a member of Bible Way Baptist Church. Nellie retired in 1970 after more than 20 years of employment at Crystal Springs and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harmon Parrish, daughter, Pat Copeland, and siblings, J.P. Broome, Beulah Broome, Duke Broome, Fred Broome, Nora Nation and Lucille Walker.

Nellie is survived by her loving children, Judy (Bob) Johnson and Jackie (Leslie) Shrader, grandchildren, Teresa (Tony) Novak, Michelle (Troy) Green and Jaime (Jeremy) Godfrey, and great-grandchildren, Alexandria (Robert)

Benson, Emily Green, Zachary Thomas, Jude Godfrey, Journey Godfrey, and Josetta Godfrey.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Vince Estill

officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens-South.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday.
