Edward F. “Buster” Warren, 96 of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday October 16, 2021 at his residence.

Buster was born in Chattanooga and graduated from Central High School. He retired from EPB of Chattanooga and was known for his athletic ability. Buster was raised in Alton Park where his sporting career began. He was also a proud WWII Army Veteran serving his country in the 75th Division 289th Infantry Regiment and was awarded the EAME Theatre Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and Victory Medal. Buster was a life time member of the American Legion Post #95 in East Ridge, TN. His passion in life was playing fast pitch softball. Buster was inducted into the 1984 “Old Timers” Softball Hall of Fame and played for the Chattanooga Gas Co. Flames and Capital Motors of Toyota ball teams.

Buster was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy “JoAnn” Case Warren; brother, William “Bill” A. Warren; parents, Roy and Eunice Warren; and brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Case.

Survivors include his son, Gary E. Warren (Susan Parrish); several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 21st, 2021 at 12pm in the South Crest Chapel. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South with military honors.
