Jaime Raines

Jaime Dion Raines, 48, of Soddy Daisy passed away on September 17, 2021.

Words cannot describe the loss his family feels. He was the person that everyone felt comfortable confiding in, and had a sense of humor that will never be matched. He was a patient, devoted, loving father and husband to his “beautiful ladies”. Jaime loved his family, music, movie quotes, mowing lawns and collecting vintage toys and lunchboxes. He loved his role as the crazy uncle and played it well. He never met a stranger. He loved helping people because he loved to see people succeed. Jaime was so much more to so many people than could ever be listed here.

Jaime was an expert on everything Ford related and shared his knowledge with his work family and many loyal customers at Marshal Mize Ford for nearly twenty years.

Jaime was preceded in death by his former wife, Brandy Raines; his maternal grandparents, James and Doris LaDuke; and paternal grandmother, Katherine Raines.

Jaime is survived by his wife, Chasity Raines; daughters, Alison Raines and Alexis Owen; his parents, Richard and Charlotte Raines; brothers, Rick (Franci) Raines, Shane (Dori) Raines, Justin (Abbie) Raines; and sister Shannon Hatfield; his in-laws, Danny and Teri Howard; brother-in law, Daniel Howard; and more nieces and nephews than we can count, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins, who love him dearly.

The world has lost one of it’s most beautiful souls.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 1:00 PM EDT at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Brother Calvin Nunley officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday September 24, 2021, at North Chapel.

You are encouraged to please wear a mask and maintain “social distancing” at the funeral home and cemetery.

Jaime was a generous person and believed in helping those less fortunate. In his memory please give your donations to a favorite charity.
