Richard Lowrance

Richard Eugene Lowrance, 80, of Ringgold, GA, died Monday, August 1, 2022. Mr. Lowrance was born December 15, 1941 in Ringgold, GA, to late J.C. Lowrance and Frankie Fowler Lowrance. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Lowrance owned and operated Richard E. Lowrance CPA and later partnered with his son and changed the name to Lowrance & Associates. He was a member of Lookout Valley Masonic Lodge #673 F&AM, Alhambra Shrine Temple, and the Scottish Rite. He also held memberships with the Sunnyside OES #359, and the Lookout Valley OES #483. He was a devout Christian and put his family first. Mr. Lowrance was a man of integrity and a gentle heart. He was very patriotic and enjoyed traveling as well as the cartoon character “Goofy.” Survivors include his wife, Maureen Lowrance, to whom he was married on September 5, 2017; six children, Eddie Lowrance (Pam), David Lowrance (Maria), John Logan (Starr), David Lescher (Erica), Lewis Smith; and a daughter, Carol Smith Ruiz (Steve); sixteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Several cousins and other relatives also survive. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 5, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. The honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Appleberry, W.C. Lane, Daryl Isham, Tim Reynolds, and Lookout Valley Lodge. The family will receive friends Friday, August 5th from 1-2 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel.
