Catherine Walthour

ROSSVILLE - Catherine Walthour, 78, passed away on January 23, 2022. Miss Walthour taught at Happy Valley Elementary (later known as Stone Creek Elementary) for over 30 years. She was a member of Heritage Point Baptist Church and was a graduate of Lakeview High School & attended Berry College, UTC & West Georgia College.

Miss Walthour was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Leo & Uldene Catherine Walthour and her brothers Leo LeBron & Joseph “Jay” Newton Walthour. She is survived by her life’s companion, Fred Arnold, & her siblings Pamela (Mel) Honeycutt & J Howard Walthour.

Donations in memory can be made in lieu of flowers to Heritage Pointe Baptist Church in Ringgold, GA.

A funeral service will be held on January 27 @ 2:30 pm at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Family will receive friends on January 26 from 4-8 pm & beginning at noon prior to the service on Thursday. She will be laid to rest at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Gardens in Walker County, GA.
