Harvey Kenneth Fowler

RINGGOLD - Harvey Kenneth “Ken” Fowler, 85, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church and the Lighthouse Sunday School Class.

He graduated from Ringgold High School in 1954, and later served in the US Air Force. Then for more than 33 years, he was employed in the golf industry, retiring from the Arnold Palmer Golf Company. After retirement, he joined his wife in their business, Fowler’s Florist, and later went to work for Catoosa County driving a Trans Aid van, then delivering meals on wheels.

For about 40 years, he and his wife served as a choir director and pianist team for several Baptist churches in the Chattanooga, Rossville, and Ringgold areas.

Predeceasing him were his parents, Thomas L. Fowler and Emma Mae Sears Fowler, 2 brothers Wendell Ray Fowler and Raymond L. Fowler, sister Wanda Fowler Vaughn.

Survivors include his wife of over 62 years, Charlotte Smith Fowler, 2 daughters Gayle (Ben) St. John and Sherry (Scott) Niles, 2 grandsons Evan Niles and Ethan Niles, brother Bobby G. (Ruth) Fowler, sister-in-law Barbara (J.L.) Nolen, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be at Heritage Funeral Home on Battlefield Parkway, Thursday, January 27th, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside services at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Revs. Jeff Clark and Andrew Crawford officiating. Pallbearers will be Evan Niles, Ethan Niles, Scott Bell, Randy Liendecker, Pete Pedigo, and Tommy Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will include Bob Fowler, J.L. Nolen, Jeff Nolen, Roger Nolen, Nolan Epperson, Gary Vaughn, David Fowler, and Tommy Fowler.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the “Beyond Measure” fund (now known as “Future Fund”) at Brainerd Hills Baptist Church, 6611 E. Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
