Velmar Pharr

LAKEVIEW - Velma Ann Scott Pharr, age 89, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022.

She was a graduate of Lakeview High school, attended UTC, and was a member of Cloud Springs Baptist Church. Velma enjoyed playing the piano and crocheting. She was a faithful wife, mother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mamie “Bryant” Scott; half-brother, James “Tommy” Thomas Scott, Sr.; and grandson, Coleby “Cole” Lane Pharr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, W. “Connie” Pharr; children, W. “Bruce” (Beverly) Pharr, Sr., Stanley “David” Pharr; Connie Tenè Pharr, Chastity Michelle Pharr Watts; sister, Martha “Jean” Wyant; grandchildren, Will (Amanda) Pharr, Levi (Traci) Pharr, Ian Pharr, Juliette Pharr; seven great grandchildren as well as two special friends, Dorothy Shields Harbor and Martha Jean Wilson Norris.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm Friday, January 28, 2022 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Gardner officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 until 8:00pm on Thursday, January 27th and
