Sarah Waite

ROSSVILLE - Sarah Trotman Waite, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. She was born on October 3, 1937 to the late Clifford Thomas and Adis Hurst Trotman. She graduated from Tyner High School in 1955 and went to work for Capital Airlines as a teletype operator. Sarah married the love of her life Larry Waite on September 12, 1959 in Patton chapel. She was a very active member at Simpson United Methodist Church for over 50 years. One of her great passions of her life was cooking. Mrs. Waite retired from the Walker County School System in 2000 with over 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 58 years, Larry Shaw Waite.

Survivors include her son, John Mark Waite; daughter, Melisa Anne Waite; and like a daughter, Dorothy Kay Harvey; and long time family friend, James Steven McDaniel.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. John Oldham officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
