Armen Joel Demerdjian

Armen Joel Demerdjian, 41, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in Chattanooga.  He had fought a long battle against cancer and passed away peacefully due to complications from Covid.

Armen chose employment that furthered his love of learning and his desire to understand how things worked.  For more than 20 years he was employed by a small collective of attorneys for whom he provided IT support, paralegal services, and worked on special projects that included international travel.  He did contract tech projects for larger corporations like BCBS and Wal-Mart.   He was also a Certified Massage Therapist and former instructor.

Armen was born on November 15, 1980, in Jerusalem, Israel. He was preceded in death by his father, Garobed “Garo” Demerdjian; and his uncle, Lonnie Lamb.

He is survived by his partner, Kenneth Cochran; his mother, Thelma (Elmer) Blaylock; his brother, John Demerdjian; extended family across the United States, Sweden, and Israel, as well as his chosen family.   He was blessed with many, many friends and was a beloved part of the LGBTQ+ community in Chattanooga.
