Mr. Dale Leon "Speedo" Stockman, age 90, of Argos, Indiana, departed this life Monday, June 13, 2022 at the home of his son in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. Stockman was born April 13, 1932, in Bourbon, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Letha Marie Weisert Stockman, his father and stepmother, Paul Clyde Stockman and Lenna B. Stockman, sisters, Norman June Stockman and Carol Joan Stockman and a granddaughter-in-law, Marie Westafer.

He was a 1950 graduate of Bourbon High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a tree surgeon by trade and was an internationally recognized 'legend' featured on the History Channel's "American Pickers". A founding member of the Country Church in Bourbon, he attended Plymouth Baptist Church in Plymouth, Indiana.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Mary Louise Hepler Stockman, his son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Elizabeth Stockman of Chattanooga, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Jeff Gill of New Paris, IN, Penny and Bryan Robison of Warsaw, IN, Trena Brassard of LaFayette, IN, Carolyn and Jeff Messer of Knox, IN, and Janna and Michael Lyons of Boise, ID; grandchildren, Ted Westafer, Angie and Trevor Mossman, Jamie Floriana, Greg Amones, Natalee Fisher, Gabrielle and Bryan Turner, Benjamin Fisher, Jeremiah and Heather Fisher, Marc and Kelli Stockman, Leah and Steve Leleaux, Matthew McCan, Sean and Megan McCan, Jeff Messer, James and Andrea Messer, John Messer, Steve Gill, Stephanie Gill, Lance Gill, Drew and Mackenzie Gill, Danielle Gonzalez; thirty-five great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Services will be held at Plymouth Baptist Church in Plymouth, Indiana Monday June 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Clark Harless and Brother Tom Hinz officiating. The family will receive friends Monday June 27, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Mount Pleasant Church of the Brethren with military graveside honors.
