Barbara Kraner

Barbara Marie Merchant Kraner, 94, of Ooltewah passed away June 22, 2022 in a local healthcare facility.

A resident of Ooltewah for the past 12 years, Mrs. Kraner was a retired nurse after over 40 years of service. She was a member of Ooltewah Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford Merchant; second husband, Douglas Kraner; son, Gary Merchant; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jillian & Colin Kirchhoff.

Survivor are her children, Cherie (David) Smith, Rick (Debbie) Merchant, all of Ooltewah; and Shelly (Brent) Kirchhoff, Raleigh, NC; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Michigan.
