Fred A. Branum

Fred A. Branum, 80, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Newport News, Virginia. He was the son of the late John and Etta Clift.

Mr. Branum graduated from the University of South Carolina and was employed by Springs Industry in Lancaster, South Carolina for 14 years.

He was survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Akins; son, Jeff Branum (Carmen) of Lexington, South Carolina; daughter Kim Brandon (Tim) of Yorktown, Virginia; Sister Margie Scott and Barbara Lynn Green; Grandchildren Madison Branum; Katie and Josh Brandon; Chris and Brad Kuebler. Mr. Branum was predeceased by his daughter Teresa Annette Baggett.

Burial will take place on June 29th at Lakewood Memory Gardens West Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The family wishes to extend deep gratitude to Bob Brazier and Jennifer Blalock as well as his caregivers Melissa and Ieshia for their acts of kindness, loving attention, and generosity over the years.
