Robert Campbell

Mr. Robert Edward “Bob” Campbell, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Mr. Campbell was born in Chattanooga, TN, July 23, 1940 to the late Robert David Campbell and Myra Gill Campbell. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he sang in the church choir for many years and was active with the Metanoia Prison Ministry.

Mr. Campbell owned and operated Clark Brother’s Furniture for many years.

He will remembered for his great sense of humor and loving Jesus Christ and others. Mr. Campbell enjoyed playing golf and was a great story teller.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Campbell and his wife, Billie.

Survivors include his wife, Dody Hightshue Campbell, to whom he was married on July 10, 1989; three sons, Brian Campbell, Doug Hightshue (Honor), and D.J. Hightshue (Elena); three daughters, Robin Campbell, Dana Thompson (Mike), and Deann Aldridge;

twelve grandchildren, Ross Thompson (Michelle), Grace Campbell, Anna Thompson, Samantha Aldridge, Virginia Campbell, Will Aldridge, Jude Campbell, Haley Hightshue, Hannah Hightshue, Anna Hightshue, Jackson Hightshue, and Elizabeth Hightshue; a great-grandson, Wolfey Beach; and a sister, Judy Souders (Wallace). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, at 6:00 P.M., First Presbyterian Church.
