Joyce Ann Whitt Baliles, 75, of Chattanooga went home to be with Lord on Dec. 18, 2017. She was born on June 13, 1942. She was a faithful member of Highland Park /Hickory Valley Christian Church. She married the love of her life, Bobby Baliles on June 8,1967. They were married 48 years. Bobby passed away Feb. 15, 2016. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dwight and Karen Butler; stepmother, Agnes Whitt; and brothers, Raymond (Vicki) Whitt, David (Pat) Whitt and Kenneth Whitt; and brother-in-law, Gene Blair. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends and a fur baby named Mac, and a close friend Ken Boggs. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Nelda Whitt; sister, Barbara Blair; and husband, Bobby; as well as many grandparents. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at Hickory Valley Christian Church with the Rev. Gary Armes officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Pallbearers are Raymond Whitt, David Whitt, Kenneth Whitt, Walt Nichols, Tony Abercrombie, Ronnie Williams, with the members of the 49ers as honorary pallbearers. Family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hickory Valley Christian Church. The Rev. Gary Armes officiating, her memory will be cherished always and forever by those she left behind.
