Vernon Lee Broome

RINGGOLD - Vernon “Lee” LeRoy Broome IV, 36, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee and graduated from Red Bank High School where he was involved in the ROTC. Lee enjoyed collecting Power Rangers memorabilia, video games, traveling, woodworking, nature and pulling pranks on his friends and family. Lee was Chief Photographer for Local 3 news and had worked with them for the last eighteen years. He has won multiple photo journalist awards from many organizations including the Associated Press. Lee is preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Case Broome; grandparents, J.W. Case Sr., Margaret Case, Vernon Broome Jr., and Mildred Broome, Uncle Jr. Case. He is survived by his partner of nineteen years, Cody Phillips; father, Vernon LeRoy Broome III and special friend Ila York; brother, Gary (Samantha) Broome; niece, Emersyn Broome, nephew, Christopher Broome; best friend, John Collins; Illinois family, Local 3 family as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 6:00
