David Newell

David Keith Newell, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on November 25th, 2022. He was 81 years old. David was best known for his love of his country. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and active in his local Chapter 942 as one of the founding members. He was a computer guru who loved his wife, kids and grandkids immensely. He was born in Dayton, Tennessee on August 16, 1941 to father Howard Newell and mother, Dixie Kelley Newell, who both have preceded in death. Others to precede in death are two brothers, Ronnie Newell and Randy Newell. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Diane Leuallen Newell, son, Keith (Tammy) Newell; daughter, Krista Newell (Carl) Pruett. He is survived by siblings; Thomas Newell and Linda Newell. David is also survived by grandchildren; Ryan Newell, Samantha Newell, Hayley Pruitt, Zoe Pruitt, Brayden Pruitt, Jackson Newell. Also one great-grandchild; Silas Markcloud He will be entombed at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a date and time to be determined.
