Kevin Yarbrough Kevin Lee Yarbrough, age 45 of Ooltewah, TN, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the home of his father in Ooltewah after a brief illness. Kevin was born June 28, 1977 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Mrs. Nancy Branson Yarbrough and Dr. Howard Lee Yarbrough. Kevin was a brave autistic client of The Orange Grove Center, and resided in one of their residences for over twenty years until his recent illness. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Doyal Branson Sr. and paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Yarbrough all of Clarksville, Tennessee and his mother Nancy. He is survived by his father, uncles and aunts Doyal Branson Jr. (Sharon), David Yarbrough (Louise), Wayne Yarbrough, Ron Yarbrough (Vicki), and Wayne Kelly (Sue) and numerous cousins. Kevin was a loving son, devoted to his family and friends. He was a gifted musician with excellent sight reading skills which allowed him to play both the piano and organ. He was a music student for many years at the Orange Grove Center with the late Mrs. Debbie Hilbert and more recently with Mrs. Carolyn Brown. He was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class at First Centenary United Methodist Church until it was a victim of the Covid pandemic, and often played one or more selections while there. He shared his musical talents over the years at various community events, most notably at the annual Christmas at the Courthouse celebration. Kevin loved video games, working on his computer, watching sports, and taking rides on his riding mower. He enjoyed all types of music and played selections from many genres. He loved to take pictures of people, places, and things and used them to create slide shows to share with his family and carried a digital camera almost everywhere that he went. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Orange Grove Center for the care and opportunities that they provided to Kevin. The family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to the staff of Hearth Hospice for the incredible care and compassion which they extended to Kevin and his family during his final days. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 8th at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
