Pete Thompson

Pete Thompson Frank “Pete” Thompson, Jr., 80, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away October 6, 2023. Pete was a loving and sweet husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend that was loved by all. He was a 1961 graduate of Central High School on Dodds Avenue. He spent his career as an Ironworker in Texas and Tennessee and retired from the Ironworkers Local Union 704. His parents, Nellie and Frank Thompson, Sr.; a brother, Kenneth “Terry” Thompson and his grandparents, Luther and Myrtle Sledge, preceded him in death. Pete is survived by his wife, Darlene Thompson; daughters, Jennifer (Punk) Ayers, Cammy Murphy and Katie McCann; son, Joe Tallent; grandchildren, Landyn (Katie) Boyd, Nicholas Tallent, Brittany Murphy, Kolton (Britney) Murphy and Makenli Ayers; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Sid Ballinger; nephew, Ken (Michelle) Thompson and a niece, Susan Ballinger. Visitation is 12 - 2 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 with the celebration of life service following at 2 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.
