The one thing you can be pretty sure of at the new fullservice Mexico Chiquito on Cantrell Road is that nothing on your plate will be bland. Everything we had exploded with flavor, some of it with more flavor than we could handle. That includes the heavy blast of garlic in the complementary thick salsa and the possibly over-generous amount of taco seasoning in the rich yellow cheese dip ($3.50 for the small bowl). It worked to the advantage of the guacamole ($3.95), which, although garlic predominated, also had plenty of avocado and citrus taste. We felt a little cheated, however, to discover a bed of lettuce at the bottom of the bowl - the appetizer is supposed to be a dip, not a salad. A little extra chunk of cumin knocked off-kilter the cheese enchilada in the Tres Enchiladas Dinner ($7.85); the sour cream sauce on the chicken enchilada and the red sauce on the beef enchilada were a trifle overwhelming. Mexico Chiquito's boast that it serves the "best calamari in Little Rock" is hyperbolic, but it did induce us to try the Shrimp and Calamari Dinner ($11.99), four nicely grilled though slightly overspiced shrimp and a half dozen strips of bready, deep-fried but properly flexible squid.
