My Big Fat Greek Cafe-Office Park Dr, Bryant

Description

The decor is a nice mixture of Mediterranean elements, the lower parts of the walls painted a red wine color, the upper a sort of ocher/peach, with a floral ribbon between them.
Dominating one wall is a photographic mural of a Greek seaside town; also on the walls are patterned serape-carpets and squares of fabric, some with pendant Turkish blue agates that are supposed to ward off the evil eye.
Two sentinel columns topped with large potted plants flank the entryway. Music suitable for belly-dancing gave way on our first visit to soft pop-rock.
Much of what we had on our plates was delicious, especially the appetizers.
It's almost a shame, however, that the gyros, which form the bulwark of the menu, are ordinary at best. The beef gyros ($5.49 in a pita, $5.99 in a wrap, $7.29 in a platter) and the chicken gyros ($5.99 pita sandwich, $7.99 platter) weren't exactly bland, but I like some zip in my gyros, and they simply didn't sufficiently stimulate the taste buds.
