Bio:
Meghan Mangrum covers education for the Chattanooga Times Free Press. She joined the paper in November 2017. Previously, she worked as a digital producer for the USA TODAY Network in Florida, reported on education for Chalkbeat, and covered government, tourism and real estate for Miami Today. A Florida native, Meghan moved to Chattanooga in 2017. She attended graduate school at the University of Florida, where she managed undergraduate student journalists for WUFT News. There she led the award-winning multimedia project "Our Gainesville," as well as Electionland, an information verification effort during the 2016 presidential election organized by ProPublica. Meghan served with AmeriCorps from 2013 to 2015, working in high-needs schools in Orlando, Florida. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a journalism degree in 2013.
