Lowering taxes good for economy
In my opinion, I believe high taxes are one of the problems plaguing the United States, not just in this current economy, but historically.
It has been proven throughout history that while in a recession lowering taxes is good for the economy -- even John F. Kennedy understood this basic economic principle (he gave speeches advocating lowering taxes).
Once taxes are lowered, it has been shown that people will spend approximately 80 percent to 90 percent of this money, resulting in businesses creating more jobs as the demand for goods and services expands.
The policy of tax and spend is a historical failure for government, a soon-to-be-realized error of the Obama administration that will prolong the economic recession, one that will define this ill-fated presidency if the course is not changed. This current president must allow the American citizens to keep more of their money. I hope this president will heed such advice from a 7th grader before greater economic turmoil affronts itself to our great nation.

Palin possesses essential traits
Sarah Palin is more qualified than Obama.
It is rare that I disagree with Free Press editorials, but the comment "that we need much better leadership than Sarah Palin" was very disappointing.
Mrs. Palin meets all the following qualifications to be an American leader:
* She has God-fearing moral integrity;
* Understands and supports the U.S. Constitution;
* Has belief in small government and the ability of American enterprise;
* Would appoint persons who believe that liberty and market based economy are superior to Marxist socialism;
* Does not continually lie and misrepresent facts;
* Has common sense that Americans understand and respect.
Our current president and his group of Chicago people do not have any of these essential attributes.
It may not be God's will for Sarah Palin to run for president, but no one including her knows that yet. One thing is sure: She will have a huge positive impact on American politics.

Health care reform best for country
A new federal study shows that health care spending will amount to an estimated $5 trillion by 2019. I believe that President Obama can help turn the health care into a more effective, beneficial system.
Leaders in Washington want us to give up steps toward reform. However, I strongly believe that this is an issue we must focus on. Without it, our economy will be in shambles and there will be a higher unemployment rate.
Please, push for health care reform. It is the best choice for our country.

All could be victim of natural disaster
If people would take time to read in the Bible Matthew 5:45, they may agree anyone Christian or non-Christian may be a victim of earthquakes, fires, floods, tornadoes, or any natural disaster.
As far as hate crimes are concerned, true Christians have often worried and prayed about the problems as well as for the salvation of non-Christians. The people who hate you, on the other hand, could care less about your problems, plus they never want you to make it to Heaven.
Now also true Christians are more than happy to try to help the truly needy get on their feet. They will also help poor or rich who are spirituality needy get on their feet so they can walk on the straight and narrow path to Heaven.

Arrogance still at the very top
While some of our congressmen have spoken of the need to step back and slow down, the arrogance at the very top is still there. Obama talks the same as ever, pushing for more control over banks and businesses.
His schooling has been by left-leaning professors, some of whom idolize the socialist dictators like Chavez and Castro. His associates have been people the ilk of Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn, the founders of a Communist revolutionary group called "Weather Underground." The group bombed the United States Capitol on March 1, 1971, The Pentagon on May 19, 1972, and the United States Department of State Building, Jan. 29, 1975.
In an interview Ayers gave to The New York Times on the occasion of his memoir's publication, the reporter quoted him as saying, "I don't regret setting bombs" and "I feel we didn't do enough."
Now look what Obama's people are doing to businesses that hire us and pay our wages! I pray for God to replace them.

Right to life extends to those in womb
The fact that a fertilized ovum is a person has already been proven, by both science and common sense. Dogs produce dogs, cats produce cats, people produce people. Unborn babies have their own DNA, unique blood types, beating hearts, and active bodies. Clearly, unborn babies are living people, and abortion is, therefore, murder.
The Founding Fathers did indeed love religious liberty, but also stated that all men are endowed by their Creator with a right to life -- and this extends to all humans, whether inside or outside the womb!

Global warming lacks science
The man-made global warming folk have little science on their side, whereas the people who question such alarmists have much scientific proof. The alarmists chose world temperature readings to support their theories and disregard those that do not.
A case in point -- during the early '90s readings from 6,000 worldwide reporting stations were used for global temperature calculation; now only selected reports from 1,500 stations are used. The stations with the lowest readings are excluded; why? The alarmists get vast government grants to continue their "studies" thereby enriching themselves. These grants should dry up when and if the truth is known, so the truth is covered and critics are harassed to the point of silence.
The windmills in the north which are to give us "alternative fuels" have frozen in this little cold snap and many solar panels don't seem to function when covered by several feet of snow. When will truth be known?

Health reform cannot wait
We are incredibly close to passing real health reform. I stand with President Obama in calling on Congress to finish the job.
This isn't a problem we can kick down the road for another decade, or even another year.
I believe the people of "no" to be the most useless people in America. If they continue to do nothing they need to be replaced. I ask all to say "no" to the people of "no" when they need our vote.
