Chandra announces sleep workshops

Dr. Anuj Chandra, a local sleep specialist, announces that the American Academy of Sleep Medicine is working with organizers of the National Sleep Medicine Course to arrange for the administration of sleep medicine board certification tests in India.

Dr. Chandra serves as assistant program director for the course. He recently returned from a position on the faculty of the National Sleep Medicine Course, a joint venture of American, Indian and Japanese sleep specialists to provide professional education in sleep medicine for Indian physicians.

Chandra announced two workshops in sleep medicine he will lead at his Advanced Center for Sleep Disorders, 6073 East Brainerd Road.

On Feb. 3, he will lead a workshop for sleep professionals on positive airway pressure therapy from 6 to 7 p.m. Dinner will be provided. For reservations, call 648-8008.

The doctor will sponsor "How Sleep Disorders Impact Your Health and Well Being" for the general public at 6 p.m. on March 10. For reservations, call 648-8008.
