KNOXVILLE - The University of Tennessee will introduce Dave Hart as the school's new athletic director and vice chancellor at a news conference at 6:30 p.m., the school announced Monday afternoon.
Hart, the father of UT Chattanooga athletic director Rick Hart, was Alabama's executive athletic director. He also had previous stints as the athletic director at Florida State and East Carolina.
Former UT athletic director Mike Hamilton resigned in June, and the school had made unsuccessful attempts to hire Georgia Tech's Dan Radakovich and LSU's Joe Alleva.
The Seminoles won one national title in football and played for two others during Hart's tenure.
