about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

Any attempt to control or limit availability of anything people want only creates black market opportunities for criminals. The Mexican drug cartels are an excellent example. Drugs, gambling and prostitution are examples of the U.S. making a criminal element wealthy. Regulating and taxing at the right levels takes the criminals opportunities away. The same would apply to guns and ammunition if banned rather than regulated and taxed.

Always looking for a conspiracy, huh? Bennett does not control the comments on this site. If you see a number that doesn't match, it is because spam gets counted even as it is removed by the filter. I remember when a lot of the spam got through, so ads for discount shoes would show up among the comments.

Bennett continues to show how foolish and uninformed he is by his stupid, hateful, cartoons. there is not one liberal policy implemented that has ever produced positive unintended consequences. This is proof liberals are short sighted and cannot see the whole picture. All the liberal ideas are to make them feel good about themselves therefore making them self serving fools.

The Supreme Court refused to intervene with the contraceptive mandate outlined in Obamacare, therefore Hobby Lobby employees will be receiving that benefit despite opposition to it.

It looks like all of our income and payroll taxes are going up on January 1st, and it looks like a whole bunch of folks who are unemployed are going to have their Unemployment Compensation benefits cut off.

But the gun dealers in America are having a second Christmas selling season and there are people up in arms (no pun intended) over the all but dying renewed interest in the issue of gun control, that has vanished from the front pages now that the 20 kids are buried.

I can't help but wonder if the gun dealers are wishing for another outrageous incident to keep boosting their sales. You know they love the words "gun control" because it brings customers in droves every time it is uttered by a politician.

Maximus, you did come across as a smug SOB. Did it ever occur to you that your stereotypes don't fit? I worked hard all my adult life in a profession that helps children, and did not make a fortune. I cannot afford to live in a gated community or own more than one house. But I own my home (it's paid for), live a comfortable life, have savings and retirement, travel to visit family, own boats (the biggest we built ourselves). I don't claim to do it all myself-my parents sent me to college so I did not start out with debt-thankfully I was able to do the same for my now successful and happy adult children. In addition, I have been lucky to not have a major accident, illness, housefire or another crisis that drained my savings and set me back, but I have friends that have suffered so.

There are many definitions of success. Just because one decided that service was more important than profit does not make them a failure. My friends and relatives who are nurses, firefighters, police officers, civil servants, educators, career military and social workers all think so too.

Jesse, I have met smug jerks like Maximus. I suspect he is real, but a rare thing. Most of my family is conservative, but neither smug nor judgmental. My wealthiest relatives are kind and compassionate, and not at all boastful of their wealth (although they should be-the richest started dirt poor and worked hard all their lives to get where they are) My family is diverse and we respect each other's views even when we don't agree. Most of my relatives love what they do for a living, which is certainly a gift that not all are blessed with. The ones that serve others seem the happiest but also the ones most strapped for income.

I loved my work, and was sorry to retire. It was intense, involved nights and weekends, usually 60-80 hours per week. (I was an educator-no, not public school-no big pension) and I also had a summer job. I did not make a lot of money but I was careful with what I did make. I chose a simple lifestyle so that I would have means to have some fun when I finally had the time.

I am saying this because above all I am annoyed by stereotypes. I am as liberal as they come, and yet I am not drug addicted, poor, in debt, irresponsible, on welfare or a drain on society. I am a non-believer, but I don't torture kittens or eat babies, nor do I hate those that do believe. (If I did I'd be pretty much alone) I have been responsible all my life, but I was also given a good start and I have been lucky. Take away the start and the luck, and I might not be where I am, even if I worked hard.

This what the CDC says to do to mitigate the dangers of your swimming pool.

Swimming skills help. Taking part in in formal swimming lessons reduces the risk of drowning among children aged 1 to 4 years.8,9 However, many people don’t have basic swimming skills. A CDC study6 about self-reported swimming abilityfound that: ◦ Younger adults reported greater swimming ability than older adults. ◦ Self-reported ability increased with level of education. ◦ Among racial groups, African Americans reported the most limited swimming ability. ◦ Men of all ages, races, and educational levels consistently reported greater swimming ability than women. Seconds count—learn CPR. CPR performed by bystanders has been shown to save lives and improve outcomes in drowning victims. The more quickly CPR is started, the better the chance of improved outcomes.18 Life jackets can reduce risk. Potentially, half of all boating deaths might be prevented with the use of life jackets.15 Supervise When in or Around Water. Designate a responsible adult to watch young children while in the bath and all children swimming or playing in or around water. Supervisors of preschool children should provide “touch supervision”, be close enough to reach the child at all times. Because drowning occurs quickly and quietly, adults should not be involved in any other distracting activity (such as reading, playing cards, talking on the phone, or mowing the lawn) while supervising children, even if lifeguards are present. Use the Buddy System. Always swim with a buddy. Select swimming sites that have lifeguards when possible. Seizure Disorder Safety. If you or a family member has a seizure disorder, provide one-on-one supervision around water, including swimming pools. Consider taking showers rather than using a bath tub for bathing. Wear life jackets when boating. Learn to Swim. Formal swimming lessons can protect young children from drowning. However, even when children have had formal swimming lessons, constant, careful supervision when children are in the water, and barriers, such as pool fencing to prevent unsupervised access, are still important. Learn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). In the time it takes for paramedics to arrive, your CPR skills could save someone’s life.

Air-Filled or Foam Toys are not safety devices. Don’t use air-filled or foam toys, such as "water wings", "noodles", or inner-tubes, instead of life jackets. These toys are not life jackets and are not designed to keep swimmers safe. Avoid Alcohol. Avoid drinking alcohol before or during swimming, boating, or water skiing. Do not drink alcohol while supervising children. Don’t let swimmers hyperventilate before swimming underwater or try to hold their breath for long periods of time. This can cause them to pass out (sometimes called “shallow water blackout”) and drown. Know how to prevent recreational water illnesses. For more information about illnesses from recreational water, see the More Information section below. Know the local weather conditions and forecast before swimming or boating. Strong winds and thunderstorms with lightning strikes are dangerous. Install Four-Sided Fencing. Install a four-sided pool fence that completely separates the pool area from the house and yard. The fence should be at least 4 feet high. Use self-closing and self-latching gates that open outward with latches that are out of reach of children. Also, consider additional barriers such as automatic door locks and alarms to prevent access or alert you if someone enters the pool area. Clear the Pool and Deck of Toys. Remove floats, balls and other toys from the pool and surrounding area immediately after use so children are not tempted to enter the pool area unsupervised.

Your two posts re: water safety are spot on, BRP. So much heartache can be avoided by taking safety precautions. All children should be taught how to swim; should be the same as vaccinating and teaching to read. Children who can't swim grow up to be adults that cannot rescue their own children if they fall in. Wouldn't it be nice if all communities had a pool and schools taught swimming as part of PE?

Ike and others, many Democrats, especially extreme leftists, have chosen the "simple lifestyle" for their lot in life. Funny how these "simple lifestyle" folks expect liberal income redistribution to take care of all the "other issues" while they live their "simple lifestyle". Now there is nothing wrong with the 8 to 12 hour a day working man or woman who settle for a 12 pack of brews and a pack of smokes bought at the Pilot quick stop every day after work kind of simple life. There is honor in a solid work ethic of any kind! Often though I do find that those who have settled for the "simple life" simply settled for "low expectations" and "minimal responsibility". That's fine too as long as you don't look to Mommie or Daddy or the Government to enable your life of low expectations. I find many Democrats to be of this ilk and it is sad indeed. Many of us, myself included, have relatives who have chosen the "lifetime hippy" path not understanding that those who do not work are not contributing to all of the great government programs that they cherish so much, a centrally planned big brother or parent government seeing over their whole life of low expectations. Sad really, because many that chose the path of the "simple life" never reach their full potential. Mostly they never grow up and always look for someone to blame or someone to bail them out. These my friends, are the worst type of liberals.....the Low Self Awareness And Your Ship Is Never Coming In Liberal. I think the doodler Clay might be one of these.

Pontificating, self-absorbed Max makes the same mistake that all of his ilk make: they think that money is the defining factor of a human being. They measure everything in terms of monetary wealth and possessions and can only see one's "full potential" in terms of how much money they have or how lavish a lifestyle they lead. Actually, Max has not even come close to realizing his own full potential as a human being as long as he sees the world through the narrow prism of his egocentricity and is unable to see people for who/what they really are, without a dollar sign attached to them.

He scoffs at Clay Bennett for perhaps being one of those "low-self-awareness" and "your-ship-is-never-coming-in" liberals, despite the fact that he is a multi-award winning cartoonist and, even though conservatives strongly disagree with him, even his most ardent critics would have to agree that he's undeniably talented and is doing what his natural skills and gifts have led him to do. But because he makes a modest living doing it, this bloviating piece of cow dung Max deems him to be not living up to his "full potential."

Maximus, you obviously think of yourself as someone head and shoulders above the unwashed masses, but in reality you're lower than a cockroach.

Not by much: 2010: 10,228 drunk driving deaths vs. 2010: 9,960 firearm homicides. 2009: 10,759 vs. 2009: 10,300 firearm homicides.

Story Retraction: Authorities Say Newtown Shooter Did Not Use Assault Weapon

"Earlier today I posted an NBC News report about the type of weapons Adam Lanza used during his Sandy Hook rampage. That report was from December 15 and contained false information. According to the Newtown coroner, Lanza used a semi-automatic AR-15, not four handguns as the report said. The entire post has been retracted. I apologize for the error." [Emphasis mine]

How anyone can use an AR-15 as a self-defense weapon against home invasions is beyond me.

Not because of the weapon itself, but because of its power.

If you get in a firefight, those bullets are going to be going through walls, possibly into your children's bedrooms, even into your neighbors' homes...

As my permit instructor thoughtfully informed us, "There is a lawyer attached to every bullet shot."

I'd prefer a shotgun. I own a Mossberg 500. What a beautiful and effective weapon. Buckshot spreads compensating for novice's lack of accuracy. Will blow the hell out of an intruder without going through your wall. And nothing scares the Bejesus out of an invader like the sound of a shotgun round getting pumped and primed.

The exact numbers are all over the place, hovering between 44,000 and 195,000 lives per year lost due to medical mistakes, errors, or for inexplicable reasons via medical care, but what constitutes a medical 'mistake' encompasses a lot of ground as well.

I am related to an 81 year old man who has been bleeding internally for more than a year. About 20 years ago, he had a valve in his heart replaced with a metal valve. He had never had a heart attack or any cardiac event, that is, until this year. He has had three major heart attacks over the past three months.

Because of his heart valve, he has been on blood thinners for two decades. He is bleeding from his upper colon. He has had his entire blood supply replaced 13 times over the past year. The bleeding stops every time they lighten up on the blood thinners, but he risks a blood clot, which if it were to pass through his metal heart valve, would result in instant death, no question.

Doctors have referred him to several surgeons, all of whom have refused to do the surgery to repair his bleeding colon. Why?

1) He has been extremely weak for most of the last year.

2) They all feel that the present course of replacing lost blood every few weeks will do more to prolong his life.

3) Surgery would require him to abstain from blood thinners for several days leading up to surgery which increases the chances of him forming blood clots.

4) Surgery of any kind can cause blood clots.

5) One blood clot passing through his heart valve will mean instant death.

In a case like this, it's a mistake no matter which way they go, but they are all doing what they can to keep him alive.

Healthy people die after a surgical procedure every day of the week. Sometimes, everything done on an operating table can go perfect and yet for some reason, people simply die.

I find it a bit of a stretch to make any comparisons of people dying via medical mistakes, errors, or for other issues, to that of gun related deaths.

Not all, but most gun deaths are an intentional act leading up to the death of a human being. Deaths that occur in the medical profession are almost never intentional.

It is apples and oranges.

And yes, dead is dead, no matter the methodology or reason.

Folks, I wouldn't get too worried about this most recent renewed gun control debate. It's already starting to die down in Washington D.C. now that those children are buried.

We all, no matter which side you may be on, need to say a little prayer that the copy-cats change their minds or have no access to any weapons to seek their 15 minutes or 15 days of fame.

That isn't an argument. They can use them now. Murderers just happen to use assault weapons exceedingly more often. Do you not understand that?

"Suicide bombers will probably be here in America soon."

They've been here. Every mass murderer in history is a suicide bomber. They just tend to use bullets instead of large, concentrated explosions.

"Then what will you guys want to ban?Ball bearings, nuts, bolts, screws?"

Get back to me when suicide bombers are killing 10,000+ people a year in the US. Any more false or irrelevant comparisons?

"My point is,why punish the many in America for the crimes of a very few?"

How are many Americans being punished? Because the government wants to put restrictions on the more deadly guns? How is that a punishment? You can still have guns! Why don't you understand that?

Argue your true position. You don't care how many people get killed as long as you can have your selection of any gun you want. Can you seriously not even entertain the idea that we should put certain restrictions on certain weapons to keep them out of the hands of dangerous people?

I have assisted in medical procedures where the patient died because of something that happened. That's why they tell you to sign a form that states you have been informed of the risks, including death, before they will perform the procedure. In medicine it often boils down to a risk vs reward situation.

LMFAO! Like that would matter.

"EAsyprick, really, its not that big a deal to have a media room if you are even moderately successful. Come on?"

LMFAO! It's even less believable when someone with said media room would come on the TFP comment section to boast about having one.

" guess you are really ghetto food stamp unemployment check Obama phone poor."

Do you ever wonder how you get to these baseless conclusions? Nothing I have ever said here would lead anyone with a brain to believe that I was any of the things you characterize me as. YOU ARE TALKING OUT OF YOUR ASS!

"Damn, I feel sorry for you. Well....not really."

I feel sorry for your family. If your real self is anything like your cyber self, I bet you're pretty difficult to be around. LMFAO!

It's as easy as typing the words into a YouTube search. Again, nothing you say could be logically determined by any thinking person. However, anyone that come on a comment section in an attempt to flaunt their "wealth" is likely far less stable than someone that can correctly use a YouTube search. LMFAO!

"Of course if you enter the grounds of my property unannounced you might meet my AR15."

WTF are you talking about? When would I ever enter the grounds of your property? And I'm the unstable one? You just threatened to murder me. You have to be the the dumbest person on the face of the earth.

"Easy 12prick I hope you and your life partner have a good night falling asleep to a Jim Carey movie."

LMFAO! Did I get under your skin? Is that why you have resorted to gay humor? You're truly comedic gold. With all the lies and the insults of an 8th grader, you're the total package.

"I know he is your favorite."

You couldn't possibly know that. This is you talking out of your ass once again.

"Why can't the guy stay married? Hmmmm. So gay."

So, according to you, Jim Carrey is my favorite yet you know all of this information about his personal life? LMFAO! This never gets old!!!"

"Get a life for God sakes!"

LMFAO! Take your own advice! You've told everyone here every detail of your alleged wealth and fortune including many vacation details. You're truly psychotic. That's the only explanation.

You seem angry?! Did I get under your skin, Maxipad? You have to keep posting here. You're far too entertaining.

Your claims and examples of your demeanor in this forum have been copied, pasted, and forwarded to McKee. Let the chips fall where they may.

Fact

According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities as well as the New York Times, Obama’s proposal to increase taxes on the rich will generate $700 billion in extra revenue over the next decade, which obviously translates to roughly $70 billion per year or eight days of government spending per year. Some have inflated that number to just under $100 billion per year, and keep in mind that is with a static market response to raising taxes. Now, that sounds like a lot of money, but compare that to our $4 trillion annual budget, and the $1.65 trillion deficit we are facing for 2012, isn’t it obvious that it falls way short of actually having any real impact? Even with raising taxes on the rich to 100% (which is obviously not possible), would only generate roughly $900 billion of extra revenue a year, still about $700 billion short of a balanced budget. Isn’t massive spending cuts that Obama promised really the only way to a balanced budget? Obama has lied again.

Easy and Alprova just ooooozing with envy. Not attractive what so ever. Alprova with so much time on his hands to do his silly "research" must be on the Obama plan like the sad but true story below:

A Ford Dealers Report: True story yesterday at a dealership.

"One of my salesmen here had a woman in his office yesterday wanting to lease a brand new Focus. As he was reviewing her credit application with her he noticed she was on social security disability. He said to her you don't look like you are disabled and unable to work. She said well I'm really not. I could work if I wanted to but I make more now than I did when I was working and got hurt (non-disabling injury). She said the government sends her $1500 a month in 1 check. And she gets $700 a month on an EBT card (food stamps) and $800 a month for rent. Oh yeah, and 250 free minutes on her phone. That is just south of $3500 a month! When she was working she was taking home about $330 per week. Do the math and then ask yourself why the hell should she go back to work. If you multiply that by millions of people you start to realize the scope of the problem we face as a country. Once the socialists have 51% of the population in that same scenario, we are finished. The question is when do we cross that threshold if we haven't already and there are not enough people working. To pay enough taxes to support non-working people? Riots? BE prepared to protect your homes."

The Ford Dealer referenced above is right. Alprova and Dude I have called some of my business contacts in the Obama administration and asked them if they would investigate both of you and cut off your funding, especially your internet service. Expect a call soon because the people that work for the Justice Department and IRS are very good at what they do. As far as my personal business activity, let me share a word with you that ya'll may not be familiar with....I am diversified. I never said I work at McKee Bakeries, i.e. Little Debbie, I do business with Little Debbie. Wow, Alprova you are a radical reactionary. "Isn’t massive spending cuts that Obama promised really the only way to a balanced budget?" joneses

In a word, NO. In two words, HELL NO. Most economists with a speck of sense have said repeatedly that too much austerity would be disastrous for the economy and would only create another recession or, worse yet, an all-out depression. The deficit is certainly problematic and will have to be dealt with but to focus on the deficit now, while ignoring unemployment and the bottomed-out economy would be approaching the problem backward. The thing is that if we created jobs, even temporary federally funded ones, and spent money in ways that would put more money into the economy now, then we would be in better shape to tackle the deficit pragmatically and cogently. Just what do you think more austerity created by massive spending cuts would do to the economy? You don't have to have a PhD in economics to know what would happen. More unemployment, more people in poverty, a housing market going even further down the toilet, etc.

You righties seem to think that by just lowering taxes and cutting spending, the gods of the free market will look favorably upon us or something and bestow prosperity on one and all, or at least those who you think deserve it - namely the already rich and comfortable. You keep making lame-brained comments, like "Even with raising taxes on the rich to 100% (which is obviously not possible), would only generate roughly $900 billion of extra revenue a year, still about $700 billion short of a balanced budget." Nobody is trying to balance the budget in one fell swoop! It would be a huge mistake to even attempt to do so. The only sensible way to approach it is by degrees. You are more than eager to take dribs and drabs from the ones who are already hurting, in the form of Social Security, Medicare, and food stamp cuts, but you whine and wail about even a modest increase in taxes on the wealthy.

The funny thing is, if this were a Republican administration, you whiners wouldn't even be talking about the deficit right now. Remember Cheney's infamous words? "Deficits don't matter." When Bush turned that surplus into a deficit almost overnight and it started snowballing under his watch, what did we hear from you righties about the deficit then? I'll remind you: NOTHING.

Longshoremen and National Retail Federation Avert Economically Damaging Strike

The container payments were created in the 1960s to compensate the longshoremen because many lost their jobs as seaports embraced automation and the use of standardized, 40-foot-long containers to ship goods. Largely as a result of those trends, employment of longshoremen in the Port of New York and New Jersey, the busiest East Coast port, has dropped to 3,500 from 35,000 in the 1960s.

The shipping companies see the royalty payments as a relic of decades past. The union still sees the payments as a core part of wages and as an important way to share productivity gains with members. The payments come to $4.85 a ton, the union said.

Harold Daggett, the union’s president, resisted the push by the shippers’ alliance, known as USMX, to freeze the royalty payments. As the strike deadline approached, he said, “USMX seems intent on gutting a provision of our master contract that I.L.A. members fought and sacrificed for years to achieve.”

There seem to be two bad stories at odds here. Dawn Nguyen said she left the two guns in her car and they were stolen by her neighbor, Spengler. The authorities have charged her with buying the guns for him. Either way, dumb move.

Hochul said Nguyen bought the guns on June 6, 2010, on behalf of Spengler, who as a convicted felon was barred from possessing weapons.

"She told the seller of these guns, Gander Mountain in Henrietta, N.Y., that she was to be the true owner and buyer of the guns instead of William Spengler," he said. "It is absolutely against federal law to provide any materially false information related to the acquisition of firearms."

"It is sometimes referred to acting as a straw purchaser and that is exactly what today's complaint alleges," Hochul said.

The federal charges carry a maximum penalty of ten years imprisonment, a fine of $250,000 or both.

What branch of military were you in during WW2? Where were you stationed? LMFAO! Any time I've ever heard that acronym, it was in reference to a "FUBAR" situation or set of circumstances.

"you seem to be fixated on ass."

You seem to be fixated on talking out of yours. I wouldn't mention the word as much if you weren't such a moron. Blame yourself! LMFAO!

"Have you seen a mental health professional about that?"

See what I mean?

"Are you a Penn State grad? Weird."

Are Penn State grads fixated on ass? Who knew? I'm sure all the great alumni that graduated from that fine institution would be offended by your comment. For future reference, you might want to try a little harder or be more concise if you want to make your attempted Jerry Sandusky jokes actually make sense. Would you like to continue to make a fool of yourself? I encourage you to keep going.

Penn State is in a union loving, Yankee, blue state that is one reason for not caring for the Nittany Lions then there was Joe Paterno. I never liked him back in the day when Bama and Bear Bryant used to kick their, get ready EAsy 123, assess, and Paterno would whine like a little biatch. Yes, I was referring to Jerry Sandusky. Every Penn State grad should be ashamed. Karma did reach up and take Paterno out.....rot in hell Joe. As for Sandusky look for him to assume room temperature soon. Penn State is actually a university, not a state.

"I never liked him back in the day when Bama and Bear Bryant used to kick their, get ready EAsy 123, assess, and Paterno would whine like a little biatch."

Did someone ask for your opinion? LMFAO!

"Yes, I was referring to Jerry Sandusky."

You did a terrible job. Again, might want to try a little harder next time.

"Every Penn State grad should be ashamed."

"Karma did reach up and take Paterno out."

If by "karma", you mean "cancer", then you're correct.

"....rot in hell Joe."

The way you pick up the tab for uninsured people is not through your taxes but through increased premiums on your health insurance policy. There are two primary reasons insurance companies raise their rates: 1)because the shareholders and the CEOs get very disgruntled if they don't see increased profits every year, and 2)because the hospitals wich treat the uninsured in their emergency rooms pass on their lost revenue to the insurance companies by raising their rates.

Obamacare, while it certainly has its flaws, would at the very least allow more people to get preventive care and up-front treatment, which would greatly reduce the burden on hostpitals' ERs, where treatment is most expensive. The governors who are complaining about how they can't afford to set up the exchanges for the indigent and uninsured (the cost of which would be minimal for the states) will keep seeing insurance rates go up and the costs to the states will continue to escalate. The money they would save by offering more and better preventive care and early diagnosis would probably more than offset the initial costs.

Health care for all is not just an altruistic whim of bleeding-heart liberals, as you righties like to claim; it's just common-sense economics. A healthy citizenry would be a more productive society in every regard, with individuals, families, employers, and the economy benefiting from the increased productivity, minus the drain that 50 million uninsured are presently posing.

Conservatives only look at spending cuts or money NOT spent and congratulate themselves on the immediate savings. They fail to look at the big picture, the huge long-range costs involved by ignoring the problem and just wishing that it would go away. But the problem never goes away; rather it festers and gets increasingly worse and more expensive to deal with down the road.

easy321 u did not read the post I said Penn State is "in" a union loving, blue....."state". My Christianity, unlike some, includes a belief in heaven and hell. Some like to believe Christianity is all love, love, and get "uncomfortable" when you talk about consequences. It gets back to my question about judgement. Penn State University will now always be remembered for the irresponsible leadership that led to children being abused by a beast like Sandusky. Again, karma got Paterno, who supposedly was recovering from cancer before he had to spill the beans about his involvment in the cover-up and karma and hell will get Sandusky sooner rather than later. Look for his murder in prison to be trending soon.

I didn't quit. I bested you. And you couldn't stand it. So you kept going and going. I guess my record was nearing 12 hours!

My apologies.

"My Christianity, unlike some, includes a belief in heaven and hell."

"Some like to believe Christianity is all love, love, and get "uncomfortable" when you talk about consequences."

Must be REALLY lonely. You're a never-ending tangent of irrelevant topics.

"It gets back to my question about judgement."

So I guess you omit the part of the Bible that speaks against the judgement of others. In other words, you're just like the majority of other Christians in the world that cherry-pick the parts of the Bible that they hinge their beliefs upon.

"Penn State University will now always be remembered for the irresponsible leadership that led to children being abused by a beast like Sandusky."

Here is a better question: So what?

"karma got Paterno"

Again, if you mean "cancer", then you're correct.

"who supposedly was recovering from cancer before he had to spill the beans about his involvment in the cover-up"

The man died of lung cancer. Are you dense?

"and karma and hell will get Sandusky sooner rather than later. Look for his murder in prison to be trending soon."

Again, how Christian of you. I think Matthew 7 says something about judging others. LMFAO! You're hopelessly ignorant.
