Heiskell remains sole commissioner in Walker County

Incumbent Bebe Heiskell (R) remains sole commissioner in Walker County, beating write-in opponent Ales Campbell (D). Heiskell received 13,380 votes, and write-in candidates received 5,851. It is unknown at this time how many of those votes were for Campbell.

Campbell’s write-in campaign made national headlines earlier this month, and she has said she will replace the sole commissioner with a five-person commission if elected.
