A fire at a marina at Harrison Bay State Park kept firefighters busy this morning.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 8411 Harrison Bay Road shortly after 6:15 a.m.

Two boats were on fire on F Dock. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and release the boats from the dock to keep additional boats from being damaged.

The two boats on fire were a total loss. The first boat was a 40 foot Silverton Cruiser owned by Mark Moore from Charleston, Tenn. The second boat was a 1991 Bayliner Cruiser owned by Michael Cripps from Rock Springs, Ga..

According to a boat owner from Dock F, there was a loud explosion before the fire.

Damages are undetermined at this time. The cause of the fire will be under investigation by TN Wildlife Resource Agency.
