Clay Bennett, cartoonist for the Chattanooga Times Free Press, was a finalist for the 2013 Pulitzer Prize in editorial cartooning. Entrants submitted portfolios of 20 cartoons representing their work over the previous year.

The prize jury recognized Bennett for his “polished, witty cartoons that effectively lampoon prominent leaders and groups in a polarized America.”

Bennett, who won the Pulitzer in 2002, has been a finalist for the prestigious honor a record seven times. He joined the Times Free Press in 2007.

Steve Sack of the Star Tribune in Minneapolis won the 2013 Pulitzer for editorial cartooning.
