Alabama will hold its A-Day spring football game on April 20, the school announced Wednesday.

The A-Day game will start at 3 p.m. Eastern, and it will be televised by ESPN2. Admission is again free.

Alabama has an average A-Day attendance of 86,089 since Nick Saban became head coach in 2007, a figure that leads the nation. The '07 A-Day game had a sellout crowd of 92,138 at Bryant-Denny Stadium, and the 2011 contest set a new standard with 92,310 in the facility that now seats 101,821.

Auburn and Tennessee also will hold their spring games on April 20. Georgia's spring game will be April 6, while Vanderbilt's is set for April 13.

The Crimson Tide also announced Wednesday that their homecoming opponent during the 2013 season will be Georgia State, which visits Oct. 5. GSU is coming off a 1-10 season and will be playing in its first year in the Bowl Subdivision.

'Nicky Satan'

Saban received a phone call Wednesday from Vanderbilt coach James Franklin, who apologized for comments he made Monday night while speaking at the Macon Central High football banquet.

"There is this guy at Alabama, I think his name is Nicky Satan, you guys might have heard of him," Franklin told the audience, which included Commodores linebacker commitment Nigel Bowden. "I'm going to outwork him, and that's kind of our plan every single day."

Franklin told The Tennessean that he and Saban exchanged their mutual respect for one another Wednesday before getting back to the recruiting trail.

"I made a joke, and in today's society with all the media and social media and people with tape recorders and things like that, that doesn't come off that way," Franklin told the paper. "I know people have tremendous pride in Alabama, and their fans are fanatical, so I understand, but it was a joke, and I didn't mean to offend anybody."
